About Us
Candela has over 50 years of experience as a prime manufacturer of karat gold jewelry sold through out the world. Candela Hnos. was established in Valencia, Spain, as a family business during the 1940’s. Candela began manufacturing and supplying wholesalers and larger retailers throughout the world. In 1979, realizing the importance of the United States’ market and wanting to improve its distribution here, Candela Hnos. opened a U.S. subsidiary, Candela Jewelry Inc., in New York. In 1997, since it had outgrown its New York space, the company moved to Florida. Candela Jewelry Inc. continues to occupy its own 18,000 square foot building in Sunrise, Florida. An additional manufacturing facility was added in Cuenca, Ecuador in 1996. In total, Candela worldwide now employs over four hundred people.
The product line includes jewelry manufactured in 8K, 9K, 10K, 14K and 18K gold. It comes with and without diamonds, semi-precious, precious stones, and pearl. While Candela Jewelry Inc. sells and services many of this country’s leading retailers (some dealing with us for over 25 years). We are one of the largest karat gold suppliers to the department stores in both their fine and bridge jewelry departments. In addition, Candela supplies many retail jewelry chains, independent jewelers, catalog retailers and wholesalers.
This staying power and customer loyalty is due to Candela manufacturing a wide range of jewelry of top quality and design. In order to maintain styles at the forefront of fashion, we research throughout the world looking for trends and design ideas. Candela has a full time design and model-making department to create and execute these new ideas. This allows us to offer several hundred new designs each year.
With over 900 SKU’S in the current Candela Jewelry Inc. collection, we offer one of the largest selections in the industry. We are proud that our reputation is to manufacture fine jewelry of great value and outstanding quality. We pay attention to not only the styling, but to the price point, which allows our customers to reach their necessary margins. Yet we continue to manufacture with strict attention to the quality of the product.
With regard to the quality, we adhere to the standards of the Jewelry Vigilance Committee’s guidelines in the manufacturing of our jewelry.
- All jewelry is stamped with karat content and trade marked (CJI).
- All diamonds are hand sorted and checked for quality.
- All pieces are hand finished. Either polished, brushed, diamond cut etc.
- All items are subject to strict quality control standards.
